BALLONA CREEK RAIN GARDEN PROJECT, PHASE II, P-900

The bikepath between Overland Avenue and Pedestrian Bridge (north of Ocean Drive and Westwood Blvd) will be closed for pedestrian and bicycle traffic during construction of the Ballona Creek Rain Garden Project.  Please observe posted detours and construction signs.The work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 and to be completed in late July  2012.The project includes: nstallation of four catch basins with filtration devices to filter the rain water run-off of most pollutants collected from School District parking and playground areas.  The storm water will then be conveyed into two new rain gardens and into engineered dispersal chamber systems to be constructed within the existing landscaped slope area.For more information, click HERE
