CCBC to lead ride from Culver City to CicLAvia Sunday, October 9, 2011.
Join the CCBC this Sunday on a group ride from Media Park in Culver City to Bicycle
Kitchen, the northern end of the CycLAvia route. Meet us at Media Park at 8:30 am . We'll leave between 8:45 & 9:00. The total distance is a little less than 8-1/2 miles with a slow paced ride averaging 8 - 12 mph.Bikerowave is expected to join us between 8:45 am and 9 am. We're planning to meet up with the SM Spoke - another LACBC chapter, near W.6th Street & Cochran, approximately 5 miles into our ride. SM Spoke is meeting at the Santa Monica Pier at 8 a.m. and rolling by 8:30A return ride is planned from the LACBC bike valet location at Olvera Street, departing at 2pm, providing a group ride back to Culver City and locations west of there, for those who prefer riding with a group.The route we plan to follow can be found at http://g.co/maps/httyfMedia Park is where Culver Blvd. & Venice Blvd meet at the eastern edge of downtown Culver City, across from the Trader Joes market.
